Waking Up In Wakefield

Intro: I love that there is always something to do in and around Wakefield. Now that spring is slowly melting the snow, the Trans Canada hiking trail is finally becoming accessible for all hikers and cyclists eager to get the heck out of the house! For 45 km, the Great Trail winds through Gatineau Park and passes through Wakefield, right through our beloved Wakefield red covered bridge. Outdoor enthusiasts, eco-tourists, and families I have had stay with me have all enjoyed exploring parts of Sentiers Wakefield, a 3.6 km stretch of the Trail which starts just north of Wakefield and meanders into Gatineau Park.
