As of now June 25th, we are still OPEN.  We are following the rules of the Quebec Government.

I also wanted to let you know that I have been busy making new policies and procedures that will keep all of our guests safe and my little family too.

Since my family & I  live on the main floor of the house & the guest rooms are all located on the upper floors with private & semi-private entrances there can be zero contact.  All 3 rooms are open.  There is no common area now unless the 2 rooms The Black Sheep Room & The Burnside Suite are together .  There is now only a table with chairs in the common area which is now just to be used like a hallway to get to the 2 rooms.  The main floor of the house is now PRIVATE.

I am the ONLY cleaner.   I have a cleaning check list in place developed by using the guidelines that the World Health Organization suggests.  I also am using cleaning products that are recommended on the Health Canada Website.  I will be wearing a mask, goggles and cleaning gloves to ensure a deep clean of everything after each check out.  Everything will be washed and sanitized before the next guest arrival.

I also am taking an extra measure of using a UV Germicidal Lamp Compact UVC Light Bulb for a certain amount of time depending on the square footage of the room that kills bacteria, germ, flu, virus, mould, fungus, canine, parvovirus, E.Coli etc.

As for breakfast, to stop the spread of COVID-19 I am only providing self serve continental breakfast until further notice.   The room rates have all been reduced.   I will provide the essentials for you to have a self serve continental.  All rooms have a fridge, coffee maker, kettle and microwave including all the dishes you need.  I will reach out before your arrival so that you can advise me of what you would like in your room upon arrival.
This makes me very sad, as I LOVE COOKING for our guests.  During this pandemic we all need to stay safe and follow procedures from the Government.  I hope you understand.

Our restaurants in the village are open for take out & dining  and you need to call ahead to reserve your order & pick up time.   I will be available to help you.    Boutiques are open with restricted hours and have safe policies in place with distancing.  Black Sheep Inn for live music is still closed.  The Kaffe 1870 Pub will be opening soon.

I pray that everyone keeps safe and continues to do so and please obey the rules of social distancing.  If you have any of the COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home.  Keep well.

Much love, Dawn Airey-owner Auberge de Mon Petit Chum B&B, Wakefield, QC.
